Dr. Sher is board-certified in adult and pediatric asthma, allergy and immunology and pediatrics. He is active in both the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology and the American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology and is currently a member of its immunotherapy committee in addition to the rhinitis and sinusitis committee.
Dr. Sher is nationally known and published, most recently for his work in food allergies. As a major contributor to food allergies worldwide, Dr. Sher continues to help his patients diagnosed with debilitating food allergies through oral immunotherapy (OIT).
Dr. Sher went to medical school at the University of Utah School of Medicine and completed a pediatric residency at the University of California, Los Angeles and fellowship in allergy, asthma, and immunology at both the UCLA Westwood and Harbor campuses. He has been in practice for over 20 years in the Palos Verdes community. He founded Peninsula Research Associates in 1999, a clinical trials institute devoted to helping develop new vaccines and medications for asthma, allergies, ADHD and sleep disorders.
