Justin Mauser, M.D.
Family Medicine and Sports Medicine
Dr. Mauser is board-certified in Family Medicine and recently completed specialty training in non-operative Sports Medicine.
Dr. Mauser went to medical school at Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine and completed family medicine residency and primary care sports medicine fellowship at Long Beach Memorial. Dr. Mauser was a 5A Division II state champion wrestler in Arizona at the 145 pound weight class. He has completed several ultra-endurance events including a cross-country (Maine to Arizona) bicycle ride for the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Arizona as well as a full-length Ironman triathlon in Louisville, Kentucky. During his fellowship, he provided medical care to athletes at Cal State Long Beach as well as covered skateboarding, BMX, and freestyle motocross at the ESPN event, Summer X-Games 2021.
Dr. Mauser has close ties with our clinic, as he often assisted with weekend shifts here at PVMG during his training. His professional interests include improving his patients quality of life by managing painful arthritis conditions non-invasively (without surgery when possible), as well as finding a holistic approach to help athletes reach their peak and overcome setbacks associated with injuries.
