COVID-19 Vaccines and Testing
Our goal is to help you and your family stay healthy and safe during this unusual time. We encourage you to be proactive with you and your family’s health. Do this by maintaining your relationship with your current PVMG physician and visiting our offices for your ongoing medical needs. Children need to stay up to date with their vaccinations and if you have an ongoing medical condition, you need to stay current with your check ups and medications. Schedule an appointment for a COVID-19 test and/or vaccine online or call us today.
Palos Verdes Medical Group is here to help during these difficult and uncertain times. We place our patients and their well-being at the forefront of everything we do. This is why we are offering COVID-19 virus testing (PCR), COVID-19 antibody testing, and COVID-19 vaccines and boosters. Testing is open to both our patients and community members of all ages. We offer COVID-19 vaccines for people ages 5 and older. COVID-19 boosters are available for all patients ages 16 and older.
Please schedule an appointment for a COVID-19 test or vaccine online or call our offices to schedule. To schedule online, simply click “book an appointment” under the COVID-19 drop down menu above. For COVID-19 testing, please bring your insurance card and come to our drive through testing site during your scheduled date/time. If you are a new patient, you may download and print our patient form to bring to your appointment. We will also have patient forms available at our testing site. COVID-19 vaccines are administered inside of our office in Suite 319. If you are a new patient coming in for a COVID-19 vaccine, please bring your insurance card and print and fill out our new patient form.
At this time, COVID-19 testing and COVID-19 vaccines are covered at no cost by most insurance plans. As always, we encourage you to call your insurance company with any questions.
Prior to scheduling an appointment for a COVID-19 test, please make sure one is necessary. At this time, our resources and staffing are limited. A friendly reminder that you do not need a COVID-19 test to come out of quarantine. For quarantine instructions or other instructions for coming in close contacts with someone who is positive for COVID-19, click here. Click here to read the guidelines for isolation instructions for people with COVID-19. These inscructions should help clarify whether a COVID-19 test is necessary.
We currently have the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine for patients ages 5 and older. For adults we offer both the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines. Palos Verdes Medical Group is offering COVID-19 boosters for patients ages 16 and older.
We are using PCR tests and testing via an interior nasal swab.
In order to keep you safe and avoid crowding, testing is done at our quick and convenient drive-thru COVID-19 testing site. Our drive-thru is located on the 4th (top) floor of the parking garage of the Promenade on the Peninsula mall. There is an entrance to the top floor of the parking garage on Indian Peak Road.
COVID-19 vaccines are administered in our office (Suite 319). We recommend parking on the top (3rd) floor of the parking structure for easy access to our office. There is an entrance to the parking structure on Indian Peak Road that takes you directly to the top level. Once you enter the parking structure from Indian Peak Road, veer to the left (away from the movie theater) to park closest to our office.
Results are provided same-day. You will be notified via email or phone of your results. Please remember that we are available 24/7 for our patients! Those coming to us just for COVID-19 testing also have access to our healthcare professionals for COVID-19 counseling and questions!
A friendly reminder that our office is fully equipped to continue to care for ALL of our patients during this time. We continue to stay open and help patients in all capacities and across all specialties. Do not hesitate to reach out to us at any time.
